Located on the Manair river in Godavari basin in Kamareddy district of Telangana State, India, is hereby included in the ICID Register of World Heritage Irrigation Structures as an example of water storage structure providing sustained water supply to the town and in addition water to the agricultural fields and livelihood to the fishermen communities for over 100 years resulting in enhanced food production, livelihood opportunities, and poverty alleviation.
